Good quality legit cast iron. Surface inside is rugged or rough which may be good or bad depending upon your need

I am very happy with this Kadhai. It works wonderfully well. I had to season it though before use. Now it is so smooth that I make almost everything in it. I even bought the bigger size from Indus Valley.
