Unpolished Kodo Millet can be used to prepare biryanis, pulavs, mixed rices and everything that one makes with rice. In Unpolished Millet Rice proper care is take so that bran is not removed so we get Whole grain. Kodo is an annual tufted grass that was domesticated in India almost 3000 years ago. The grains vary in colour from light red to dark grey, and like most millets the fiber content is very high. Known as Varagu in Tamil, Haraka in Kannada, Kodra in Hindi, Arikelu in Telugu, kodo millets are storehouse of nutrients.
Note: Usally unpolished Browntop and Kodo millets naturally leaves little colour while washing (Milling dust on millets). This usually happen even when we are washing rice. We wish to clarify Naati Grains never add any external colours to prove its Unpolished. Our main motto is to preserve the bran to retain the Natural nutritions.
