We can easily locate some herbs in nature's bounty rather than relying on chemical products to maintain flawless skin. One such treasure is Kasturi manjal or white turmeric. It has been used as a natural Ayurvedic beauty product in India for generations. Kasturi Manjal is a member of Turmeric or Curcuma aromatica. It is widely used for cosmetic purposes and is popular for its medicinal and skin-care benefits. Kasturi Turmeric is rare and not commonly available in the market, which makes it expensive. Besides, it is the main reason to sell duplicate, fake and cheap counterfeit Manja koova (Curcuma zedoaria).

How to identify original Kasturi manjal:

Kasturi Turmeric leaves are bright green. However, Manja Koova leaves have a dark violet midrib running from base to tip. The color of wild turmeric is light cream like ginger, whereas Zedoary is yellowish. Even the grounded wild turmeric powder is light cream. When it comes to smell, Kasturi manjal has a distinct musk aroma. The aroma of freshly produced powder is very nice and appealing.
