The world is moving faster than ever before and we along with it and left some of our beautiful and healthy traditions behind. We not only forgot the traditional practices but also the healthy and quality lifestyle those practices birthed. With the development of technology and a busy lifestyle, we started leaning more towards the quickest ways to make products with the use of chemicals rather than using natural methods to procure the same products which are time-consuming.

Doubts about every organic product in the market are always lurking in people’s minds. The questions that constantly arise before buying the products are, is the product really pure? Or are there any artificial ingredients added?

To provide clarification, Naati Grains gives you a peek behind the curtains and tells you how exactly our organic products are sourced or manufactured using traditional methods.

Palm candy

Palm candy is also known as Pana karkandu in Tamil. For instance, Palm candy is commonly available in every nook and corner of the market. However, nowadays palm candy is made using artificial sweeteners and other artificial ingredients. The main reason to use chemicals is to quicken the process or produce large quantities of palm candy using less raw materials. In return, manufacturers make huge profits compared to the natural method.

The natural approach requires extracting the liquid from the trees, the liquid is boiled over while being constantly stirred. Then the contents are safely transferred into a box and stored underground for a period of 50 - 56 days. Natural crystallization takes a certain period of time to occur. The period is usually 40 - 50 days. Then the crystals are broken down, hand-packed and delivered to our stores directly, making sure our customers get the absolute best in its entirety.

Usually, the sugary compounds you find on the market contains a GI level of 100 or above causing few health issues. But since no other artificial preservatives or sweeteners are added to Naatigarins palm candy, the GI level remains below 40 constantly allowing you to enjoy all the dishes while maintaining your healthy lifestyle. Further, palm candy stabilizes your blood sugar level. It is rich in vitamins and minerals and is effective in helping pregnancy. It cures respiratory and digestive issues and has many more healthy facts like mentioned above. Even though we are running from our heritage, let us find time and make sure we find and give the purity and care our home & family deserves.

Sharbati Wheat flour

Now, let’s look into our second product, a VIP in making a variety of dishes all over the world.

Wheat flour has been a staple for us overages. Even though some might argue that it isn't the right way to go, this is the path that our country seems to be striding in. Flour has become an imperative ingredient in our daily lives. From preparing our usual breakfast to whipping up some of the most delicious festive sweets, flour is in our kitchen. As wheat flour is an essential ingredient in every household, shouldn't we use the utmost best quality flour?

That's why we are here for you.

Sharbati wheat is known to be of the best quality and can be found largely in UP, Punjab and MP. And among those, we've travelled and found you the best of the best there is to get, Sharbati Wheat Flour from the state of Madhya Pradesh. The taste and the quality of the wheat of MP results from the black cotton soil on which it is grown, making it indigenous.

The organically grown wheat grains are hand-picked from the produce and safely processed at our very own facility. The grains are processed in two steps and cooled down at times intervals, making sure the flour doesn't get too hot and lose its value and health benefits. The flour is then safely packed and delivered to our stores, allowing us to bring an indigenous product to people all over the country.

Turmeric

Our next product is Turmeric which is also known as Manjal or Haldi, every household in India has a special place dedicated to this miraculous spice in their spice box. The use of turmeric in our country has always been a pertinent practice in our daily lives through the food we consume etc. Though turmeric has slowly been making its way into Western European gourmet, it is one of the most important spices we can find throughout India. Taking a step back and making sure we find the purest form in such an indispensable ingredient can never go wrong.

We are proud and elated to say that Naatigrains bring you that important spice from our very own backyard. The Viraali turmeric variety is cultivated and organically grown in our own fields, ensuring there is no place for adulteration. The plants after harvest are safely stored in an environment built especially for it, making sure the harvest remains fresh for as long as possible.

Before being powdered, the crops are hand-picked, washed, sliced using hands and stored under shade allowing the moisture to evaporate while keeping the nutrient value of the turmeric still intact. Factoring in the needs of the consumers, the crops are processed every month allowing us to provide fresh and organic turmeric throughout the year.
